Das Good Sushi & Marketplace brings together the fresh sushi and Japanese artistry of Philadelphia’s beloved Kisso Sushi Bar, the bold Asian-Hawaiian cooking of Das Good Cafe, and the event and large-order expertise of Tipsy Catering, all under one roof in Glenolden, Pennsylvania.
Whether you are stopping in for handcrafted sushi, picking up dinner for the family, exploring our marketplace, or planning food for an important event, Das Good Sushi offers something for every appetite and every occasion.
Chef Alex Park is the longtime owner and sushi chef behind Kisso Sushi Bar, the Old City favorite that served Philadelphia from Fourth and Race Streets for more than 20 years.
Kisso became known for carefully prepared nigiri, tightly rolled maki, fresh fish, creative chef selections, and the personal attention Alex gave to each guest.
Now, Chef Alex brings that experience, craftsmanship, and Kisso tradition to Das Good Sushi.
Das Good Cafe was created by Anh and Anou Vongbandith to share the foods, flavors, and experiences that shaped their lives.
Anh was born in Vietnam and raised in Hawaii, while Anou was born in Laos and came to the United States as a child. Together, they developed a menu influenced by Vietnamese, Laotian, Southeast Asian, Hawaiian, and American comfort-food traditions.
The experience behind Tipsy Catering allows Das Good Sushi to serve family gatherings, corporate lunches, community programs, private celebrations, school meal programs, and larger off-site events.
Das Good Sushi is designed as a restaurant and marketplace: a place for fresh sushi, Asian-Hawaiian comfort food, ready-to-eat meals, family platters, frozen specialties, house-made sauces, desserts, coffee, tea, meal prep, and catering selections.
Kisso tradition. Das Good flavor. Tipsy catering. One marketplace.
